Mission
Give Aquilaria a voice stronger than speculation.
The Institute aims to become an independent reference space for understanding agarwood, connecting stakeholders and improving the quality of available information.

Why an institute?
Because the supply chain still speaks in silos.
Botanists study trees, growers know the land, distillers speak through scent, authorities through permits and buyers through grades. A shared platform must translate these languages without flattening them.
The Institute assembles reviews, sources, market benchmarks, cultivation methods and traceability tools. It does not replace a laboratory, CITES authority or financial adviser; it helps everyone ask better questions.
Audiences
One subject, several decisions.
Growers need viable protocols; perfumers need expressive consistency; brands need verifiable stories; researchers need identified samples; buyers need to understand grade, price and risk.
Content is layered accordingly: clear introductions, technical depth, sourced data and methodological cautions. French, English and German versions widen the dialogue.
Readable files connected to sources.
Paths through cultivation, markets and compliance.
A shared vocabulary for the chain.

Principles
Curiosity, caution and usefulness.
Scientific and institutional sources come first, while commercial reports are used when no better price or volume data exist. Estimates are dated, contextualised and separated from established facts.
The aim is not to make oud less mysterious. It is to make its supply chain more intelligible, so fascination can support conservation, expertise and a responsible economy.
